Wallace Bain - On speaking for the dead

From Nine To Noon, 10:10 am on 18 May 2021

Wallace Bain was a Coroner for 28 years in the Waikato and Bay of Plenty until his retirement in 2020. He was tasked with some of the most horrific cases of child abuse New Zealand has seen - including the deaths of toddler Nia Glassie and baby Moko Rangitoheriri, and believes it's "unacceptable" that one child dies in New Zealand as a result of abuse every five weeks.

Since his retirement he's written a book that brings together some of the more difficult - but important - inquests he's been involved with.
