Clare Pooley was a highly successful advertising executive when she stopped work to be an at-home mum to her three children. She'd always liked a wine or three, but her drinking began to spiral out of control. Nearly five years ago she quit alcohol and started a blog called Mummy was a Secret Drinker,  which has had over two million hits and spawned a book The Sober Diaries. Since then, she's survived a breast cancer diagnosis, and turned her hand to fiction with her first novel, The Authenticity Project. It's a sweet story which begins with a lonely widower deciding to tell the truth about his life in a notebook which he leaves in a cafe for others to read and add to.
