South Korea has seen a spike in Covid-19 cases, traced to the Itaewon district which has popular nightclubs, that are locally referred to as gay clubs. This has triggered a hostile homophobic reaction by some and also a wider conversation about LGBT+ rights in South Korea. And Hong Kong's contentious National Anthem bill is back on the table, with small protests starting again.
