Dry weather is continuing across large parts of the country, including Northland, the Waikato, the Wairarapa, Canterbury, and the Tasman regions. Northland has been verging on drought status for weeks, and now the Tasman region is approaching a trigger point for water rationing.
The Tasman District Council's Dry Weather Taskforce is meeting today. Taskforce convenor, Dennis Bush-King tells Lynn Freeman the coming week is critical.
