Kath Coster is a member of a survivors advisory group to the Royal commission of inquiry into state and faith-based abuse.

She is one of the estimated one hundred thousand plus young New Zealanders abused while being looked after by the state. This year the the Abuse in Care Royal Commission heard evidence at public hearings.

The tri-monthly hearings will resume early next year with another public session looking at the question of "redress". Kath is determined no other child should ever suffer as she did.
