Three elements for primary school achievement

A new study by the Council for Educational Research has analysed six diverse primary schools that made and sustained positive shifts in achievement over five years. Senior Researcher Jan Eyre tells Lynn Freeman even though each school had a unique approach, they all had three common elements: a safe, supportive positive learning environment; a focus on developing and nurturing relationships; and strong leadership which used data to drive strategic goals.
