Abi Ramanan is the co-founder and CEO of food technology company ImpactVision - which has developed software using hyperspectral imaging to give food producers, retailers and consumers real-time critical information about the quality of food products.

According to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation, around 1.3 billion tons of food are thrown away each year, Ms Ramanan says ImpactVision is about attacking the supply chain directly and reducing the waste.

Abi Ramanan will be in the country for the Boma NZ Grow Agri-summit in Christchurch next month.
