Red herrings, plot twists & murder most horrid!

The country's first crime writing festival, Rotorua Noir is on this weekend.

Participants will hear from international and local crime writers and gain more clues along the way about the elements of good crime fiction. Dunedin author, Vanda Symon is running some masterclasses.

The festival coincides the tenth year of the prestigious Ngaio Marsh Award for crime writing.
