A Hawkes Bay church wants to build a mega solar farm to help to reduce energy poverty in the region.
The plan being developed by St Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Hastings involves installing up to 4000 solar panels, to supply 400 low income households in the suburb of Flaxmere with low cost electricity.
