E patient Dave: 'Gimme my damn data!'

Get online, get access to your medical records, and take charge of your health decisions. That's the advice of Dave deBronkart, an international patient superstar, known for being an advocate of participatory medicine. Since being diagnosed with cancer in 2007, and given weeks to live, "E patient Dave" as he is better known, has got better (with the help of doctors) and is an advocate of patients becoming more meaningful partners. His TED talk was for years in the top half of the most watched TED talks of all time. Dave deBronkart is the keynote speaker at the HiNZ annual conference currently on in Rotorua.
