World leading plastic surgeon, Wayne Morrison performed Australia's first hand transplant. A pioneer of microsurgery, Professor Morrison's world-renowned research on tissue engineering, including growing liver tissue for transplants, and regeneration using fat stem cells, is ground breaking. Professor Morrison talks to Kathryn Ryan about where reconstructive surgery is at today, including the possibility re-growing breast tissue into a mastectomy cavity, and growing hearts in a petrie dish.
