The Ministry of Health has stopped funding the annual GAPSS/GOSS surveys of gay and bisexual men despite a 2013 analysis it commissioned describing it as "vital" for assessing the success of HIV prevention initiatives. Nine to Noon speaks to the head of the NZ Aids Foundation Jason Myers and to Dr Peter Saxton, an HIV researcher from Otago University who carries out the survey.
