Sam recorded his own music under the name Bond Street Bridge. His Radio New Zealand debut was a beautiful live session featuring songs from the album The Map Maker's Art for Music 101 in 2008.

In 2011, music reporter Sam Wicks met up with Sam Prebble down by the Bond St Bridge in Auckland to talk about the second Bond Street Bridge album Spring Summer Awesome Winter.

His most recent work was an ambitious project based around the stories of Antarctic explorers such as Robert Scott and Ernest Shackleton. He spoke about explorers, adventurers and the 2013 album The Explorer's Club: Antarctica with Music Mix host Nick Atkinson.

Around the same time Sam performed the song 'Water Sky' live for Standing Room Only, and William Dart reviewed Explorers Club on New Horizons for Radio NZ Concert.

Sam Prebble was also a member of a much wider community of musicians including folk like Dylan Storey, Reb Fountain, Ivy Rossiter, Joel Mulholland, Brendan Turner and Nina McSweeney.

Sam contributed to recordings and live performances by a host on New Zealand artists including The Broken Heartbreakers, The Eastern, Great North, The Andy Gibson Band and The Bitter Years.

Marty Duda recalls Sam Prebble during Artist of the Week with Kathryn Ryan on Nine to Noon.
