Between 9:00 am and 10:00 am Kathryn investigates the main news of the day - bringing the world to you. At 9:45 am we get the latest news from overseas from our correspondents.
After the 10:00 am news, our Feature Interview profiles a wide range of extraordinary and ordinary people who stimulate new ideas and debate. At 10:35 am we have book reviews with a range of reviewers (on alternate Fridays John McIntyre takes a look at the latest children's books). At 10.45 am we continue our literary theme with a reading.
At 11:00 am on Mondays, we cover the week in politics, with political correspondents from the left and the right. On Tuesdays we feature business news with Rod Oram, on Wednesdays we have music featuring his artist of the week, on Thursdays we talk new technology and on Fridays, listeners are treated to a selection of the latest music releases with Jeremy Taylor or Grant Smithies.
At about 11:25 am on Mondays we talk food, chatting to producers from around the country. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays we discuss interesting topics in the public arena. On Thursday's we talk parenting and on Fridays, sport with Brendan Telfer.
We round up the morning on a lighter note. On Mondays at 11:45 am our "urbanist" Tommy Honey looks at issues facing city dwellers - while on alternate Mondays we go off the beaten track with outdoorsman and adventurer, Kennedy Warne. On Tuesdays we discuss media issues with Gavin Ellis, on Wednesdays we alternate a look at issues in the arts, science and law,. Thursdays is viewing day, what to watch and how to watch it in this ever changing digital landscape. And on Fridays we finish the week with a light-hearted look at the news with Te Radar, joined by either Michele A'Court, Irene Pink, Gemma Gracewood, Elisabeth Easther, Pinky Agnew or Alice Brine.
