Developed by WorkSafe New Zealand and the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, the best practice guidelines note that bullying is prevalent in workplaces – and that there are greater rates of reported workplace bullying in New Zealand compared with overseas.

A group of North Rodney Ratepayers seeking a divorce from the Auckland super City have applied to the Local Government Commission to form a break away council. Bill Townson is the Chairman of the Northern Action Group which is seeking to leave the Auckland Super City and form its own council.

Dr George McGavin is a British zoologist. He is an author, lecturer, television presenter and explorer. He is an Honorary Research Associate at Oxford University's Museum of Natural History and The Department of Zoology of Oxford University. He is also Visiting Professor of Entomology at the University of Derby. He regularly speaks to audiences about insects, ecology, evolution, conservation and exploration and has been the presenter of a BBC television show Ultimate Swarms.

Dr McGavin believes that unlocking the secrets of swarming behaviour in nature, is crucial to understanding human behaviour and the lives of billions of people who are now living increasingly crowded lives in congested cities.
