Peter Feaver served as a special advisor for the National Security Council during the George W Bush administration and director for Defence Policy and Arms Control at the NSC under Bill Clinton.

Nick Davies broke the phone hacking scandal that had been covered up for years by Rupert Murdoch's News International, and his work saw the Guardian, alongside The New York Times, become the main news agency to publish excerpts from thousands of classified documents from US military servers. The cables were leaked by Bradley Manning, who was last month given a 35-year jail term for passing the files to WikiLeaks.
