Australian synth pioneers Icehouse, led by Iva Davies, started out in 1977 when they were originally called Flowers. Their debut album, called Icehouse was released in 1980. Due to legal problems (there was already another band called Flowers), the band changed their name a year later to Icehouse. That debut album has just been reissued in expanded form featuring live tracks and a DVD featuring their 1981 performance at the Sweetwaters Music Festival in New Zealand. They had hits during the '80s with Great Southern Land and Electric Blue, which broke them in the States.
