The Whanau Ora Taskforce Report has finally been released by the government and Maori Party co-leader Tariana Turia named Minister responsible.
The new way of delivering social services for at-risk families will cost hundreds of millions of dollars...money that will come mostly from existing health, social development and Maori Affairs budgets.
John Tamihere, CEO of Waipareira Trust; and Hikamate Ngaki, social worker and the Maori tikanga adviser at Wesley Community Action Porirua - their programme is run in a similar way to how the government says Whanau Ora will work.
