Annette Beautrais, leading NZ suicide researcher - Associate Professor at the University of Otago, Christchurch and Visiting Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at Yale University School of Medicine, New Haven, CT, USA. Annette says men are 11 times more likely to commit suicide after a relationship breakup, and that we need a system within courts to pick them up (same as in Australia).

Gregory Luke Larkin, Professor of Surgery, Emergency Medicine, and Public Health at Yale University School of Medicine. He's Chair of the International Association for Suicide Prevention's Task Force on Suicide and Emergency Medicine. He says the emergency department also a good place to identify at risk men, as they're less likely to visit a GP; and Warwick Pudney, Senior lecturer of psychotherapy at AUT University, and he was a founder of telephone counselling service Mensline, which is stopping operations.
