Grief and hope at Wellington Mosque

From News Special, 5:33 pm on 17 March 2019

A mosque in Wellington was a scene of grief, but also hope today. The Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern lay a wreath among the hundreds of gifts of flowers and cards at the Kilbirnie mosque, and met with Muslim community leaders. She said very little, but gave many hugs. However it was a powerful rendition of John Lennon's Imagine sung just minutes before Ms Ardern arrived that brought the large crowd - including journalists - to tears. Political reporter Gia Garrick was among the stream of well-wishers today, and joins us now.
