Wind is the Concern

Wind is the enemy... and there are timebombs sitting there if the wind does change... that's the message from those fighting the fires raging in the Tasman-Nelson area. In the last hour Emergency Service staff and local politicans briefed the media on the latest efforts to bring the blaze under control. The wildfire is continuing to encroach on the Nelson township of Wakefield.
