Studio owner Mike Cave learned his trade under the wing of producers like Coldplay recording maestro Ken Nelson. Cave's been using those same tools ever since on acts as diverse as The Charlatans and Enrique Iglesias. Nick Atkinson caught up with Mike Cave on holiday in New Zealand and asked him about the changing role of the music producer, given that many artists now write and arrange the bulk of their own material?
