2010's 'Humour and The Misfortune of Others' was Hollie Smith's "difficult second album". It was a battle contractually and emotionally as Smith struggled to gain recognition as a song-writer in her own right after the huge success of the Don McGlashan-penned Bathe in The River. Now she's releasing her third album 'Band of Brothers Volume 1' and she's stopped grinding the compositional axe. Instead she's been chopping wood with 'Electric Wire Hustle' leading man Mara TK. Nick Atkinson spoke to Hollie about the new collaborative approach to her music.
