Savage - Mayhem and Miracles

When the gruffest voice of Deceptikonz, Savage, released the song 'Swing' back in 2005 it introduced him as a pop artist and the single went on to clock over 1,500,000 sales in the United States, reinvigorating the fortunes of Dawn Raid Entertainment. On his new album 'Mayhem and Miracles', Savage continues to work the pop angles, balancing these with material that reflects on his upbringing in the streets of Manurewa, South Auckland. Sam Wicks talks to Savage about the two sides of the album, but first asks about a minor media controversy.
