Broken Heartbreakers

From RNZ Music, 11:55 am on 3 July 2010

Radio New Zealand first met with The Broken Heartbreakers back in 2007 when their self-titled debut came out. At the time interviewer Richard Wain casually suggested the two frontpeople should get married - as Rachel Bailey and John Guy Howell were partners, and they could then tour Europe thanks to Rachel's Irish passport. Imagine Richard's shock when the couple actually went and tied the knot… though it was for love, not a work permit.

Now, the heartfelt homemakers return with a new album Wintersun recorded live at their house in Sandringham, Auckland - where our interviewer catches up with the happily married front-people... only to find they're breaking up (the current band lineup that is, not the couple...).
