Harry Beckett

Trumpet player Harry Beckett is originally from Barbados, but relocated to the UK in the 50s and has been a fixture on the English jazz scene ever since. Harry is 73 and and recently released a new album called The Modern Sound of Harry Beckett, produced by Adrian Sherwood and featuring the On U records house band mixing dub, cool grooves and superb modal jazz flavours. Trevor Reekie talks to Harry Beckett about blowing his own trumpet.
