At the age of 74 veteran R&B singer Andre Williams is as active as he's ever been. Since the 1950s Williams has been singing, writing and producing his own brand of greasy rhythm & blues. As one of the producers at the fledgling Motown label he helping Stevie Wonder write and produce his first records back in 1962. Later he collaborated with George Clinton's Parlament/Funkadelic. Along the way, he wrote and produced Shake A Tail Feather by The Five Du-Tones, one of the great party records of the 1960s. More recently Williams has been recording for the Bloodshot label, working with musicians from The Dirtbombs and The Sadies. On his new album 'That's All I Need', Andre sheds his sleazy personae and reveals a more intimate artist.
