Forty years ago King Crimson released one of the most strikingly original debut albums in rock history, In The Court Of The Crimson King. Led by eccentric guitarist Robert Fripp, the band featured lyricist Peter Sinfield, bass player and vocalist Greg Lake, woodwind player Ian McDonald and drummer Michael Giles. The band went through many personnel changes over the next five years with only Fripp remaining a constant. By 1974, with the recording of their album Red, Fripp put an end to the group for the remainder of the decade. Forty years later, members of the band gathered at Air Studios in London to hear newly remixed versions of three of the band's albums as part of a 40th anniversary reissue program. Although Robert Fripp was there, he remained elusive, but Marty Duda did speak to Peter Sinfield, along with John Wetton who played bass and sang on 'Red'.
