Dimmer - Live At The Hopetoun Alpha

From RNZ Music, 5:00 pm on 22 September 2006

After an excellent but brief reunion of his 1980s band Straitjacket Fits, guitarist/singer/songwriter Shayne Carter was convinced to re-apply the classic four-piece rock line-up to his new work as Dimmer - the name Carter has been using for his solo output since 1995.

With the release of the third Dimmer album There My Dear in 2006, Carter enlisted the help of drummer Dino Karl of HDU, along with bass player Kelly Steven and guitarist James Duncan to take the show on the road.

RNZ was there to capture the show at the Hopetoun Alpha in Auckland. It was a night awash with fuzzy guitars, swirling rhythms, and solid bass lines.
