It seems New Zealand band The Dead C are world famous everywhere except home. After 20 years together, last year they released a compilation through American label Ba Da Bing. Their uncompromising approach to noise and improvisation has earned them such a big reputation in certain circles that they finished last year co-headlining UK festival, All Tomorrow's Parties, at the personal request of Sonic Youth's Thurston Moore. Andrew Clifford called Bruce Russell at home in Lyttleton to see how he was coping with all the attention.
