One of Australia's most respected songwriters Paul Kelly played at the Auckland Arts Festival performing one hundred of his songs delivered alphabetically over four nights. It's a show that has grown into a recently published book called 'How to Make Gravy'. Paul Kelly visits the Radio New Zealand studio to perform live and talk to Trevor Reekie about songs. stories and tempus fugiting. The songs are: They Thought I was Asleep, Careless, and How To Make Gravy.
