In 1975, the people of Ngati Raukawa, Ngai Toa and Te Ati Awa began a 25 year project to reinvigorate te reo Maori in their communities. More than thirty years on, graduates of the Whakatupuranga Rua Mano programme, and slick musos, Iwi, are releasing their second album, 'Te Kawa Tuarua', more than a decade in the making - written almost entirely in te reo Maori. Emma Smith speaks with Iwi's Kimo Winiata, Keelan Ransfield, and John 'Bones' Grace.
