VIDEO PREMIERE: Looking For Alaska ‘Where Have You Gone’

From RNZ Music, 3:30 pm on 18 November 2020

RNZ Music is proud to present the new video from pop-folk trio Looking For Alaska. ‘Where Have You Gone’ is from their new album Light and Shadow, which is out now.

Auckland couple Aaron Gott and Amy Maynard formed folk band Looking For Alaska three years ago when they met bassist Stephen Daniell.

Their 2016 self-titled debut spent five weeks in the NZ album charts and was a finalist for Best Independent Debut at the 2017 Taite Music Prize. The band has opened for New Zealand music favourites Fly My Pretties, Herbs, Tiny Ruins and more.

Since their last album release, Looking for Alaska have toured Aotearoa, Australia and Europe, gathering the experiences they needed to write fresh new songs, resulting in their new record Light and Shadow.

The album is a collection of airy folk-pop songs produced and mixed by legendary Lyttleton producer Ben Edwards of The Sitting Room.

A darker album than their last, Light and Shadows’ collection of moody tracks explores themes around personal struggles and life lessons.

The duo will start their new year on tour in Aotearoa, details at lookingforalaska.co.nz
