RNZ is stoked to present the brand new video ‘Moody’ from thriving hip-hop crew The Settlers. 'Moody' is a smooth, emotional song that touches on the pressures of day to day life and the feeling of just needing a break.
Hailing from Lyttleton Harbour in Christchurch, The Settlers consist of Anthony Horan, Elias Tyro (MC’s), Laura Hunter (vocals), and Mike Thorpe (DJ). The group are especially busy this year, releasing a string of singles including ‘Swimming’, ‘Plastic’, ‘Love’, and ‘Moody’, all part of their next record due to be released soon.
The Settlers are known for their down to earth lyrics. ‘Moody’, produced by Tia Drumma, is no different. The smooth, emotional song touches on the pressures of day to day life and the feeling of just needing a break.
The video was filmed at Loho studios, where the track was recorded. The band's upcoming record was also recorded at Loho Studios, mixed by Adam Hogan, and Mastered by Ben Tones.
