Released under the name Virtual Shadow Ensemble, with members contributing from different towns in NZ and Australia, it’s a mix of poetry, jazz, and dub that features appearances by members of Fat Freddy’s Drop, Yoko Zuna, and Trinity Roots.
Tony Stamp talked to five of the musicians involved - drummer Rikki Gooch, poet Aije, and the two guys behind Noa Records: Larsen Taylor and Nāvakatoa Tekela-Pule.
