Shoddy are a “goth / glam / grunge / psych” four-piece from Auckland, and RNZ Music is proud to present their new video ‘Waiting For Anti-Matter’.
Shoddy’s members include vocalist and lead guitarist Witchy, aka Richard Dugdale, bassist Toby King, drummer Thomas Pembroke, and multi-instrumentalist Daniel Pickstone.
The group formed in 2018 and became know for their intense and inclusive live shows: “The audience would witness four best friends smashing music and trying to build something beautiful out of the pieces,” the band say.
‘Waiting For Anti-Matter’ is from Shoddy’s first colleciton of songs With Nails And Glue, which came out in November 2018. They’ve since followed up with 5-track EP Someday We'll Fix It.
Shoddy opened for Scottish post-punk legends The Jesus and Mary Chain when they visited New Zealand in March last year.
The video for ‘Waiting For Anti-Matter’ is directed, filmed and edited by Carl Naus.
