RNZ Music is proud to premiere the second single from 21-year-old Coromandel-raised musician Solomon Crook. 'Race Car' is a super-catchy tune with a stunner of a video shot on the Desert Road.
Solomon Crook is a 21-year-old pop musician from the beautiful town of Opoutere on the Coromandel.
'Race Car' is Solomon's second single. His first single 'Love Juice', from his debut EP Abandon Adolescence, made it to #2 in the NZ Hot 20 single charts and has been streamed over 100,000 times on Spotify.
He's supported Thomas Oliver and Amy Shark and will be playing a bunch of summer festivals including Soundsplash and The River Sounds Festival.
The 'Race Car' music video was shot, directed and edited by local photographer and designer Oscar Keys and Solomon Drader. It was shot partially on the side of the Desert Road with indoor scenes shot in Wellington. The video and was produced in co-operation with Wellington-based fashion designer Ruby Malcolm.
