Jana Whitta talks to Adam Sherry from A Dead Forest Index prior to their Auckland show at Whammy Bar.
Adam and Sam Sherry of A Dead Forest Index are originally from Auckland and have gained steady success overseas. Last year they released their full length album 'In All That Drifts From Summit Down' and toured the US and Europe with label mate, and ‘Goth- folk- goddess', Chelsea Wolfe.
Their unique sound caught the attention of UK band Savages, an all female, post-punk power outfit from London. They have toured extensively alongside Savages, and have closely collaborated with guitarist Gemma Thompson, who is happily married to drummer, Sam Sherry.
RNZ’s Jana Whitta sat down with Adam after their soundcheck at Whammy bar last weekend.
