While fleshed out to five members on the road - Tame Impala is the solo recording project of Aussie Kevin Parker, who came to international attention five years ago with his deeply psychedelic, debut long player, Innerspeaker.
After working with Flaming Lips producer Dave Fridmann on his first two albums, he took his latest album, Currents, into his own hands - composing, recording and producing the work by himself in his home-studio in Perth.
And when Emma Smith meets Kevin at soundcheck for their first New Zealand headliner, she find out that he’s holding it down outside the studio too.
