Zach Saginaw began his career as a jazz drummer, before starting to release electronic music under the name Shigeto in 2009.
His output since then has been difficult to pin down stylistically, moving between beat music, jazz, ambient, and many others.
Tony Stamp caught up with Shigeto over a flat white on Auckland’s K Rd.
