The Critics Choice Prize in the Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards sets out to pick future contenders for Tuis at the NZ Music Awards, and, on Thursday night Auckland psych-rock outfit Bespin took home the Tui for 2015.
Established in 2010, the Critics’ Choice Prize has previously won by Street Chant, Kimbra, Watercolours and Larz Randa.
This week, a showcase at Auckland’s Kings Arms saw Bespin play alongside New Gum Sarn and Boycrush.
