Dream-pop group Luna was formed by Kiwi ex-pat Dean Wareham after the demise of his band Galaxie 500. Luna survived a seven-album run before splitting 10 years ago.
Bass player Britta Phillips was a later Luna recruit, and after the demise of the band continued to play with Wareham, as husband and wife duo Dean & Britta.
Phillips has juggled music with film work, her first acting gig being the singing voice of Jem in the 1980s’ animated series Jem and the Holograms.
In town with the now reformed Luna, she talks to Kiran Dass.
