This week songwriters from all over Aotearoa came together to celebrate their craft at the 50th APRA Silver Scrolls awards.

As part of the big birthday celebrations, music directors Godfrey De Grut and Cherie Mathieson employed an orchestra to accompany the finalists pieces, performed, as has become tradition, as cover versions.

Auckland’s Vector Arena played host to ceremony, which saw this coveted peer-voted music award handed out to Ruban and Kody Nielson for ‘Multi-Love’, alongside a host of other accolades, including the APRA Maioha Award, the ‘Lost Scroll’, and the New Zealand Music Hall of Fame induction of Bill Sevesi.
