Hamilton has boasted more than its fair share of musical talent, a quick names check sees artists like The Datsuns, Kimbra, Mobile Stud Unit, Dribbly Cat Attraction and Wendyhouse.
The city affectionately known as "The Tron" once boasted a vibrant local music scene, but with the demise of the local music station, Contact89FM, a lack of local venues, and the close proximity to Auckland, the punters and the parties are hard to find.
Enter the Tron Music Trust - the non-profit organisation aiming to reinvigorate the live music scene while providing local artists and bands the support to reach their potential.
Zac Arnold talks to Tron Music Trustee, Trevor Faville about his plans to achieve this sizeable task.
