Cairo Knife Fight have featured a revolving cast of guitarists that has included Aaron Tokona, Laughton Kora and Joel Haines. Multitasking vocalist and drummer Nick Gaffaney has been the only constant member throughout the band's lifespan, and during the recording of their debut album, The Colossus, Gaffaney enlisted some serious rock heavyweights - Queens of the Stone Age’s Mark Lanegan and Los Angelean producers Tyler Fournames and John Anderson - to hone the hard and fast sound.
Now, after years of flux, the Cairo Knife Fight lineup has solidified with the inclusion of LA-based guitarist George Pajon Jr. Sam Wicks talks to the band’s mainstay about being in a band where change is an ever-present state.
