From rocking parties as precocious hip hop youth to taking their tag-team camaraderie to New Zealand radio frequencies and television screens, Mark 'Slave' Williams and Otis Frizzell have made careers out of turning their unschooled attention to new music and new media. The central Auckland duo got their start as MC OJ and Rhythm Slave, a rap duo who weren't afraid to hijack microphones and stages, their determination earning their place in New Zealand hip hop. Their resumes now take in radio and television production, graffiti writing and tattoo art, a collective skill set that continues to be orientated by hip hop.
