Bass player and vocalist Glenn Mikkelson left New Zealand in 1974 taking with him recordings he had made with Auckland band Human Instinct. A decade later under the name Zaine Griff he returned home with two solo albums to his credit, two top 100 UK singles and a lot of experience. He had worked with Johnny Wakelin, The Kinks and David Bowie. In Musical Chairs today, Zaine Griff speaks of the dizzy heights of his success in the UK and why he swapped his passion for songwriting and performing for a career as a golf pro.
