Singer songwriter Bic Runga has already chalked up more 'firsts' in her brief career than many artists achieve in a lifetime. Her debut album quickly went to No. 1 on the New Zealand charts when it was released in 1997. She already had a Silver Scroll award for excellence in songwriting under her belt at just 19, Bic signed a 5 year 4 album deal with Sony International, now, back home after extensive touring to promote her album worldwide.
