Tāmaki Makaurau soul musician Louis Baker has just released a new track called Kapakapa, written with Kings and Rory Noble at the inaugural te reo Māori Songhubs in Waimārama.
Organised by producer Joel Little, the event saw Māori musicians coming together to write songs in te reo. Tony Stamp spoke with Louis about his time there, and about his last few years spent learning more about his whakapapa.
