James Lowe is the vocalist from the mid 60's American garage band The Electric Prunes who were discovered rehearsing in a garage in LA ... they were signed to the Reprise label and embarked on a journey that saw them release a wonderful collection of classic singles including I Had Too Much To Dream Last Night ... a song that saw them attract mid 60's global attention when it hit the American top 20 singles chart and was later included in the iconic Nuggets album ... The track has just been released by London based label Cherry Red Records in a comprehensive Electric Prunes collection called Then Came the Dawn: Complete Recordings 1966-1969 .. Here Trevor Reekie talks to Electric Prunes vocalist James Lowe about a great song that continues to endure.
